Winter Wedding at SLC Temple | Utah Photographer
Rachelle and Braeden’s winter wedding at the SLC Temple was one for the books! JOYFUL is the word that I think of first when I reflect on that special day! Rachelle and Braeden are so genuinely happy together and it shows in these pictures! I’m so happy for these two, Rachelle and Braeden are truly the perfect fit for each other in every way and I absolutely loved being in the beautiful Salt Lake City temple to witness their marriage.
My mom nicknamed Rachelle “Sunshine Girl” from the time she was a toddler because she has always had the most radiant smile and most cheerful, always-laughing personality. It was a miracle that it wasn’t a blizzard on their wedding day, so we were grateful for clear skies, but most of the morning it had been cloudy and dreary and I was a teensy bit bummed about that because nothing quite replaces the extra pop and glow that sunlight gives photos as opposed to cloud cover. As we were taking bridal portraits in the freezing cold, I was praying that the sun would come out even just for a few pictures before we finished. And sure enough, the prettiest sunlight came out for our Sunshine Girl, plus it started snowing at the same time! It was like they got their own personal flurry! The sunshine only lasted for a few short minutes and even though their wedding day still would have been perfect without this extra little miracle, I’m grateful for a Heavenly Father who hears the little prayers of our hearts and for His tender mercies that come shining through on cloudy days.
I’m also really grateful for Kaci Lou Photography, my amazing friend who we hired to help me out with the photos taken at the temple right after the marriage. It was sooo cold but she knew all the right shots to take in the most efficient way so that everyone could get back inside as soon as possible while still taking fun & creative photos! She’s amazing and I’m so thankful she was there to help capture Rachelle & Braeden’s wedding day!
After we finished taking pictures at the temple, we went to The Jaden Event Center for a luncheon and reception. Rachelle and Braeden had planned a really fun reception for the guests and we all had a great time celebrating with them! At the end of the night, a sparkler exit made for a really fun sendoff for the newlyweds! I love looking back on this beautiful day through these photos that tell the whole story!
