Winter Family Portraits Mini Session | Logan Utah Photographer
I loved taking these winter family portraits in Logan Utah over Christmas break! I grew up in Logan and that sweet little valley surrounded by the most beautiful mountains will always be home to me. Last year we weren’t able to travel home to Logan for Christmas because we were still in the middle of daily IVF shots during the early stages of my pregnancy, and we played it safe and stayed in Arizona the whole nine months, so it had been nearly two years since our little family had so much as seen a snowflake. It was pretty special to take our baby girl home for Christmas and to have Cache Valley be such a winter wonderland while we were there. We had so much fun spending time with each of our families. A few days before Christmas, I got to take some winter family pictures in a quick mini session for my sister-in-law and her little family. It was snowing, so instead of going up to the canyon we decided to just use my husband’s parents’ backyard as our photoshoot location, and it worked so well and made things so easy (especially with a toddler involved)! It was super convenient to run out the backdoor, play and take pictures in the snow, and then run back inside to warm up. Aren’t these guys the cutest little family? I loved getting to capture these Christmas memories for them, and it was so fun for me to take pictures of a snowy landscape instead of the desert for a change!
