Fall Family Photos at Veterans Oasis Park | Phoenix Photographer

Jessica and Daniel are great friends of ours and together they make one of the most fun-loving, kind, all around awesome couples I’ve ever met.  We love spending time with them, playing board games or having dinner together, and our daughter even took her first steps at their house when we were there for a 4th of July party.  Jessica and I love many of the same books and movies (we’re both big Harry Potter fans and love classic novels, period dramas and chick flicks of all levels of cheesiness).  We’ve found it’s more interesting to dissect our favorite aspects of each film adaptation of Little Women with each other than to try to explain to our husbands exactly why Christian Bale will always and forever be the best Laurie.

So recently, Jessica and I went to the movies with a group of friends to see the new modern adaptation of Little Women, and another night our husbands saw Free Solo (a National Geographic movie about a rock climber whose career my husband has obsessively followed for the past 5 years).  The husbands didn’t get dragged to the chick flick, and we didn’t have to go into cardiac arrest over the death defying no-ropes-rock-climbing-up-El-Capitan footage, so I’m calling it a win-win.

Not too long ago, I met up with Jessica and Daniel at Veterans Oasis Park in Chandler to take some fall family pictures for them.  Even though it’s been a full two years since I opened my photography business, I still get some butterflies in my stomach before almost every photoshoot.  But I know Jessica and Daniel so well that I didn’t feel the slightest bit nervous, it was just a really fun time hanging out with these two and capturing the love they have for each other.  I just loved taking these photos of them and I’m excited to share these favorite shots from their shoot!
