Utah Engagement Photographer | Bonneville Salt Flats
My little brother Bradford is all grown up and getting married! He met Wendy when they were walking into the MTC in Provo, where they were both working teaching groups of missionaries, and Bradford was smitten right away! He got Wendy’s number, took her on a date and the rest is history. They had been dating for a few months before I got to meet Wendy in person, but I could tell from the way Bradford talked about her that he knew she was the one. And when I met her I could tell he was right. They just complement each other so well and love each other so much. Bradford proposed to Wendy after taking her on a walk around a beautiful garden that they had walked through on one of their first dates. He brought his guitar and played a song that Wendy had heard him play on the piano many times before, but little did she know, the song had words, and it was a song Bradford had written just for her. (So cute, right?!) Wendy said yes, and we are so excited to have her join our family!
Shortly after arriving in Utah, I drove out to the Bonneville Salt Flats with Bradford and Wendy for their engagement session. The Salt Flats has been on my bucket list of amazing photography locations for a long time, and it did not disappoint! Though the drive into the middle of nowhere is really long, it’s so worth it, and easy to see why the Salt Flats is a dream location for any Utah engagement photographer. There’s just nothing like the vast, almost other-worldly landscape, with the white salt covering the earth as far as the eye can see, the dreamy light and the beautiful mountains in the distance.
With the Coronavirus situation, I can’t imagine a more stressful time to get married, but Bradford and Wendy have handled all the changes so gracefully, faced the uncertainty together with strength and love and a focus on what’s most important and I’m so proud of them. I loved taking Bradford and Wendy’s engagement photos, seeing the way they both have stars in their eyes for the other and completely adore each other, and getting to know Wendy better during the long drive to and from the Salt Flats. Even though their wedding day won’t be exactly as they had envisioned, it’s going to be perfect because at the end of the day, Bradford and Wendy will be husband and wife forever, starting a new life together.
