Utah Commercial Photography

In my Utah commercial photography work, I love helping brands tell compelling stories through photography to attract their ideal customer. Before creating these branding images for Skye Jewelry, I talked with the brand about their company. I learned that they wanted their brand to feel feminine, sophisticated, romantic, soft, and timeless. In planning the shoot, I considered every detail of the production. From the colors and textures of backgrounds and props, to the outfits and manicures of models, each detail mattered. Everything would come together in a cohesive way to create the feeling that Skye Jewelry commercial photography should evoke.

Jewelry Brand Imagery for Skye Jewelry

For the studio background with the models, we used neutral cream tones as background colors. Soft, even lighting illuminated the majority of the images. However, we did have some fun with a few dramatic shots of a model’s hands using harsh, direct lighting. The model’s makeup beautifully enhanced her natural features and was lovely without being overdone. For props, a small slab of marble became a luxurious background for close-up photos. Beautiful pink roses lent a feminine touch to other images. I rummaged through my mom’s box of old piano sheet music and found a few yellowed pages that became a refined and romantic surface to photograph rings on and add a bit of extra interest. All together, I feel like these photos really captured the feeling the brand wanted to convey through the images that represent their brand, and I loved creating them!
