Scottsdale Civic Center Engagement Session | Scottsdale Photographer

I really enjoyed meeting Cheryl and Dwain when I took their engagement pictures in Scottsdale!  They are so happy together and have so much fun together. They kept me laughing throughout their session and it’s easy to see they’re a great match for each other! These are just a few of my favorite pictures of them from their engagement session, along with some tidbits about Dwain and Cheryl’s love story.  I’m sure you’ll enjoy getting to know this sweet couple as much as I did!

Cheryl and Dwain met the same way I met my husband, at church in the same congregation. They had known of each other for a while and began to date in January of 2017.

Dwain is a technology coordinator at ASU and Cheryl is a teacher for gifted and talented students.

Cheryl and Dwain love to spend time with each other and Dwain’s children, some of their favorite activities include playing games, watching movies, singing, bicycling, attending various types of concerts, Broadway shows (musicals), reading to Adam (Dwain’s son) every night, and playing horse-shoes.

Their love of games will be featured at their wedding reception, which they have planned to be a really fun, casual party with several table and yard games for their guests to play.  (So fun, right?)

Dwain proposed the night before Thanksgiving at ASU. He took Cheryl up to one of the buildings he works in where they had frozen yogurt and drew pictures of their favorite things. As they shared those things, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. Of course, she said yes!  I loved meeting these two and capturing the love they have for each other!
