Finding creative ways to photograph advertising images for clients is why I love being a Salt Lake City photographer. During the pandemic, we’ve had more opportunities than ever to find creative ways to deal with challenges in the industry. These photos were taken during the height of the pandemic in a lovely modern home in North Salt Lake. Normally we would have found a few kids of different ages to model Nurished‘s products. But due to Covid restrictions, we couldn’t plan that kind of shoot. So we used my own little cutie instead! Though we didn’t need to take tons of photos, I changed her outfit and hairstyle halfway through to increase variety. That way, all the photos didn’t look 100% identical even though they were taken the same day, with the same model, in the same location.

My love for this blush background runs deep. I have used it for so many photoshoots. It has crayon marks in a few places from using it for a shoot that involved school supplies, but I keep using it and just photoshop out the crayon markings because I love it that much and haven’t been able to find another background paper this exact color!

I love the balance of colors in this photo created by using the dark and light shades of brown in the product and bits of cocoa, and the dark and light green in the background and spinach.
