Miami Food Photographer | Valentine’s Day Macarons
Recently I stepped into the shoes of a Miami food photographer at my home in Utah, because of COVID. Capturing these Valentine’s Day macarons for a company based in Miami was a real treat. La Belle Vie shipped me an assortment of macarons to shoot some promotional images for a Valentine’s Day campaign. The client wanted the styling to be fairly minimal, while feeling soft, sweet and romantic for Valentine’s Day. For many of the images, I used a rose marble background surface, which turned out to be the perfect color to fit the concept, but I made sure to also take a few photos of the macarons on a more neutral cream colored background. This gave the client some images that can easily become evergreen content rather than feeling too connected to a certain time of year.
This image is one of my very favorites. I love the impact made by the use of negative space here.
Can’t help but interject here that these Ferrero Rocher flavored macarons were absolutely to die for!
The texture of the macarons up close captured in this image makes them appear extra tantalizing.
I’m obsessed with the little tiny gold stars on this purple galaxy macaron for reasons I can’t explain.
More negative space fun, but a little closer up. I love this one too, there’s something about seeing the texture of the macarons up close and personal that makes me really happy.
My grandma always had the famous pink and white circus animal cookies on hand at her house, so I have a soft spot in my heart for them. However I was still a little skeptical about how circus animal cookie flavored macarons would taste. I needn’t have worried. They were delectable.
