Working as a Logan maternity photographer feels especially rewarding when I take pictures of expectant family and friends! My friend Allison asked me to take maternity photos for her last summer. Allison became the first friend I made after moving to a new school in third grade. Our teacher called us Mutt and Jeff because we were an inseparable pair with a dramatic height difference! I was the shortest kid in the class and Allison was the tallest. I never did catch up to her in height, but Allison and I have remained best friends ever since. Allison is kind, funny, down to earth, loyal, and beautiful inside and out. When I found out that she and her husband Kyle were expecting a baby girl, I was so thrilled! I felt so happy for them and just knew they would make the best parents ever for their sweet girl.

Tony Grove Lake Maternity Pictures

When Allison asked to schedule her maternity session for sometime in July, I suggested Tony Grove Lake as the location. Tony Grove Lake rests high up near the tops of the mountains in Logan Canyon. Majestic rock cliffs and tall pine trees surround the mountain lake. Tony Grove is beautiful year round, but it’s especially stunning mid-July when wildflowers spring up everywhere. While I have hiked, camped, and picnicked at Tony Grove Lake many times, this was my first time taking pictures of clients during wildflower season. I loved photographing Allison and Kyle in such a beautiful location, which turned out to be special to them too because they had taken engagement photos there. Allison was a glowing, beautiful mom to be and I love that these photos captured the excitement she and Kyle felt to meet their baby girl, who arrived safely and is cute as can be!
