I absolutely love being a jewelry brand photographer and getting to capture the beautiful, handmade jewelry created by Pure Life Jewelry every season! A few months back, I got to photograph their summer collection, Tidal Wave. As always, I was so impressed by the thought and creativity that Jenny puts into each of her collections to make all the pieces unique yet cohesive. I love what she wrote about her Tidal Wive collection in an Instagram post when the collection launched at the beginning of the summer:
“This collection was created as my manifesto to YOU. I want it to serve as your reminder that although life may throw obstacles at you that FEEL like Tidal Waves, they come and go. Always remember to nourish yourself today and tomorrow. Nurture your energy and your dreams. Keep holding the vision of the life you desire. Understanding that feeding your own soul is what helps create a ripple effect on others. Through hardships, we expose a new self-awareness of becoming whole again.” Isn’t that beautiful? I love how the image of a tidal wave is conjured through curves, repeating lines, and turquoise in several different pieces of the collection, as well as the moon phases symbolizing that the moon’s gravitational pull causes the ocean tides.
I loved talking with Jenny about her vision for her Tidal Wave collection, the colors and symbols she wanted me to use, then getting in my creative zone to style her jewelry both with a model and with props. I had so much fun working together with Kim, a talented model and makeup artist who was so lovely inside and out and a great fit for the Pure Life brand. I’m obsessed with how the images turned out and so excited to finally officially share some favorites on the blog!
