I’m excited to share this Echo Canyon engagement session which was a dream to capture as an eastern Utah photographer! The snow-covered ground made for a freezing cold winter photoshoot experience, but the gorgeous sunlight made up for it! Ty and Whitney love hiking and mountain biking outdoors, especially in southern Utah’s red rock terrain. Ideally they would have loved to take engagement photos there, but needed a closer location for scheduling to work. After researching options, we settled on Echo Canyon since its rock formations look similar to those in Southern Utah. Breathtaking views awaited us as we drove through Echo Canyon, flanked by intricately carved rock walls on either side. Before the photoshoot, I had never driven out to this remote eastern area of Utah. Now, I definitely want to come back and explore the gorgeous terrain in the spring or summer!

Echo Canyon Engagement Session

Whitney reached out to me to schedule engagement pictures after seeing mission photos I took of Ty’s niece. But what a fun coincidence for me to realize that her fiance Ty was an old classmate of mine, from elementary through high school! I really enjoyed getting to know both Whitney and Ty better during the photoshoot. It was fun to catch up on life since high school with Ty and really sweet to see that he’s found the love of his life. Ty and Whitney are clearly the perfect match for each other. They are both funny, genuine, down to earth, kind-hearted people and I’m so excited for them to start their life together!
