Denzil Stewart Park Pictures
These Denzil Stewart Park pictures with the Western family were a joy to capture for their Christmas cards! I love the Western family so much. Stephanie and I go way back to when we worked at the same library together many years ago. Stephanie hired me for my first ever real job, shelving books after high school at the library. She was such a kind and fun person to work with on top of being a super smart librarian. Stephanie and her husband Cortney met and fell in love while both working at that same library! So after all these years it is extra fun to live in the same neighborhood with her family now and get to know her three cute kids. I had a blast taking these pictures of the Western family and capturing the love they feel for each other! During family pictures, I especially love encouraging families to play with each other and be silly together. I love the fun energy that you can feel from those photos!
Cache Valley’s Hidden Gem
Denzil Stewart Nature Park is a unique piece of land within the city limits of Logan, Utah. It’s been restored to be as close as possible to its original undisturbed state before pioneers settled in Cache Valley. Throughout the park, you’ll find historical signs that explain how the native Shoshone tribe used the land and what events likely happened on this beautiful piece of land on the bank of the Logan River between Logan and River Heights. I love taking pictures at Denzil Stewart Park because it is one of very few public places in the Cache Valley area where native plants are being encouraged to grow longer and thicker as they would in their natural state. I prefer a more overgrown, natural look in pictures to manicured, mowed lawns and sidewalks, and this location is one of the only places I can get that look without taking a longer drive up the canyon.
