Those who have been following along here for a while know that because of my struggle with infertility, I have tried to find ways to use photography to give back to the infertility community and raise awareness to the topic of infertility. The way I do that has evolved a little bit year to year, and I’m still brainstorming a few ideas for new ways I want to use photography to raise infertility awareness this year, but last year around National Infertility Awareness Week I ran a giveaway for a free photo session for someone who struggled with infertility. Marie won the giveaway, and I had the pleasure of meeting her and capturing these maternity photos of her as well as family photos of her sweet family!
Marie and her husband struggled with infertility for 8 years before their beautiful daughter came to them as a complete surprise and miracle considering the fertility issues they knew they were dealing with (they were told they wouldn’t be able to get pregnant without IVF). Their cute girl is now 3 years old and earlier this year they went through the IVF process to bring a baby brother into the family! Marie is simply glowing as a beautiful pregnant mama and her family is just the cutest ever. Sidenote, I’m in love with the outfits she put together for her family!! When I saw cute L’s little outfit I seriously died. SO CUTE! If I remember right I think Marie said it was from Zara! I love the blush pink of Marie’s maternity dress, soft colors like blush and other pastels are always such a great choice in maternity outfits, and the classic neutral colors in the other outfits combined so well with it. I loved capturing these maternity and family photos in the beautiful desert nature of the Gilbert Riparian Preserve, this family made my job so easy–I don’t think I’ve ever had a child cooperate for pictures as well as L, she was a dream! I hope you enjoy how the photos turned out as much as I do!
