I love being an Amazon listing photographer because I get introduced to all kinds of interesting products! This cupping therapy set sold by the Clever Modern brand as a Fulfilled By Amazon product serves as a perfect example. When Tyler, the owner of Clever Modern, reached out to me about taking photos of his new cupping therapy set, I quickly Google searched to figure out what he was talking about! I had never heard of cupping therapy before, but it was really interesting to learn more about it!

Cupping is a form of alternative therapy that began in China. Attaching one of the suction cups to an area of your body creates a vacuum seal. This increases blood circulation to the particular area. This helps relieve pain as well as increase blood flow, reduce inflammation, and promote relaxation. Cupping therapy relieves sore muscles and is utilized in deep tissue massage. Facial cupping with the smaller cupping tools increases circulation to the skin and helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles.

Since we were using the Elm House to shoot another Clever Modern product on the same day, we set up a yoga mat to shoot the lifestyle photos with the larger cups, and used the bathroom mirror to help illustrate how to use the smaller facial cups. Amanda, the model I worked with, did such a great job modeling these products. She was a good sport to try out having these silicone cups suctioned to her body several times even though it created a really strange sensation! I really enjoyed learning about cupping therapy and shooting these images and love how they turned out.
