Adoption Family Pictures | Gilbert LDS Temple Sealing
The photos I’m about to share are some of my very most favorite photos I’ve ever taken. Period. It’s pretty rare that I cry during a shoot, but I couldn’t hold back the tears as I watched Stephanie and Scott walk out the golden doors of the Gilbert Arizona LDS Temple, having just been sealed for time and all eternity to the sweet baby boy they had adopted, on the fifth birthday of their older son (who passed away shortly after birth). These adoption family pictures are truly so special and I felt so honored to capture them!
If you’ve been following my photography from the beginning (hi, Mom!), then Scott and Stephanie may look familiar to you. I’ve had the privilege of taking their pictures a few other times in the past and it has been so amazing for me to get to watch their journey unfold…from the heartbreak of infertility and infant loss, to the joy of adopting their baby boy, and now the absolute bliss of having him officially sealed to their family of four in the house of the Lord. When they exited the temple, it was so tender to witness not only Stephanie and Scott’s excitement, but also the joy of their family and friends who had traveled from near and far to be with them on that special day. These are the loved ones who have prayed for, grieved with, waited with, and rejoiced with Scott and Stephanie throughout their journey. I loved witnessing so many sweet little interactions between those family and friends that showed just how much they love this sweet baby boy and his parents. Congratulations, Westwoods! Thank you for inviting me to be a part of this happy occasion, it was an experience I’ll never forget!
